Chartwell breaks Gaming
mould
Canadian based Chartwell Technology Inc issued a statement on the
final day of April floating the shares of the company on the TSX Venture
Exchange and making the bold move onto the highly respected Toronto
Stock Exchange in a step which many have heralded as the best decision
in the history of the company.
The Calgary based franchise, which has become one of the biggest
names in the gaming and online gambling community since their creation
in 1998, will list on the main exchange under the symbol of CWH as
of May 3rd 2004 as they strive to not only break new ground with the
Bulls and the Bears, but also gain a following in the UK and particularly
in Ireland.
Darold H Parkin, CEO of Chartwell Inc, announced that the listing
would give the company a far greater recognition on bigger worldwide
markets. He also thanked loyal shareholders of the organisation for
their continued support for the online gaming industry. Little wonder
that people have stuck to their guns, the share prices have doubled
in value since being listed in 2001 and show no signs of slowing down
their growth rates.
